We head off down to Devon during the last week of the school summer holiday. This time we are between Brixham and Torquay on a Caravan and Motorhome site just back from Paignton called Ramslade. We have been this way before staying at Hillhead CAMC site in Brixham.

Ramslade is significantly quieter than Hillhead and more central between the three main tourist towns. It's a 5 mile cycle into Brixham, the same to Paignton maybe 7 to reach Torquay. Be warned, it's either up or down hill on the roads and some of the ups will require you to get off and push even with an ebike.

Brixham is by far the best, Paignton is a bit run down and locals say Torquay has a drug problem now and a high crime rate. If you stay at Ramslade there is a village just down the road called Stoke Gabriel, 5 mins on a bike. It's on the edge of the river Dart and worth a visit for a drink and a wander.
