Days 2 and 3 - Brighton to Dieppe and on to Honfleur

honfleurWe begin our tour with an early start and head down to the DFDS ferry port at Newhaven. Our ferry was due to depart at 9:30 and docks at Dieppe France about 16:40. We booked a cabin as it was not too much more money, it was a chance to drop our stuff and take a shower.

Not sure we picked the best of days as this crossing was on a windy day and it was a bit choppy. Not choppy enough to say no to a fried breakfast on board.

After a quick stop off at a supermarket in Dieppe we headed off to Honfluer. We found a great pitch right on the harbour with water, electric and waste all for just 15 euros. Honfluer is popular, we can see why as  we had a short tour after an early evening arrival. Far too much to see so we plan to stop for another full day as this place deserves it.

The second day in Honfleur was Honfleur was 29C with full sun all day from morning until evening. We had a walk into town, a swift drink and back for lunch. After that we got the ebikes out the garage and had a ride to the beach just around the corner. The forecast for tomorrow is not good so we may use it as a day to get some miles done and head South.
